Jerry Garcia, Creative Director

There’s a new book out called "Marketing Lessons From The Grateful Dead."

Once you stop laughing, you might be shocked at how much insight it actually delivers.

I, for one, am not too surprised.

After all, Jerry Garcia said what I think was one of the most profound pieces of advertising wisdom I have ever heard.

I’m paraphrasing here, but Jerry said something like this.

“It’s not enough to be the best at what you do. What you need to be is the only one that does what you do.”

If you remember that piece of wisdom, your brand won’t fail.
