While the advertising experts continue to say that online video advertising is all about “snacking” and that shorter is better, the consumer continues to think otherwise.
The consumer votes by making videos viral. Viral videos are ranked weekly by a company called Visible Measures.
Week in and week out, the Visible Measures top ten viral video list consists of commercials over thirty seconds in length.
Take this week’s list for example. Of the ten top viral videos, only one was thirty seconds in length. The other nine were all longer, up to three minutes.
Which once again goes to show that if you want the truth about advertising, the advetising experts aren’t the ones to listen to.
